Quiche with Broccoli
A vegetable pie is no longer a novelty. With a wide variety of vegetables you can prepare such a delicious and vegetarian meal. Those who want some meat in it can add fried bacon cubes to the pie filling, but that is absolutely not a must to make a tasty meal.
Ingredients for Quiche with Broccoli:
- 2 cups- 450g chopped fresh broccoli
- 1 ready made mille-feuille-dough or unbaked pie crust
- 1 medium onions, minced
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup - ¼l cream
- 5 eggs, well beaten
- 1½ cups - 350g shredded mozzarella cheese
- salt and pepper
How to make Quiche with Broccoli:
Preheat oven to 350°F -175°C
Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add onions, garlic and broccoli. Cook slowly over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are soft.
Roll out mille-feuille-dough and put into buttered form.
Spoon vegetables into dough- crust and sprinkle with cheese.
Combine eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour egg mixture over vegetables and cheese.
Mix eggs and cream.
Bake in preheat oven at 350°F -175°C for 30 minutes or until center has set.
