Ingredients for Halloween Stuffed Peppers:
serves 4-6:
6 large orange bell peppers
1 medium yellow onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 pound ground chuck
1 cup - 250ml water
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup cooked Jasmine rice
3-4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
8 ounce -230g shredded cheddar cheese or cheese blend
How to make Halloween Stuffed Peppers:
In a large saute pan, over medium heat, saute the onion and garlic in the butter and olive oil.
Stir with a wooden spoon occasionally, so it does not burn.
Add the beef and brown.
Once the beef is brown, add the water, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Stir in the cooked rice.
Cut the tops off of the bell peppers. Cut out the seeds and membranes and discard. Use a sharp paring knife and cut out Jackolantern faces. Scoop the prepared meat and rice mixture into the peppers. Place them in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake in a preheated 356°F - 180°C degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Or until the peppers are soft and the cheese is melted.
Enjoy immediately.
