Recipe for Ribs
Ribs
Tender ribs should not be missing on a successful barbecue. The problem with ribs is that they have to cook for a long time, which is not easy on a barbecue! During the autumn and winter months, outdoor grilling is a little less obvious. Fortunately, with an oven, or even better slow cooker, you can also prepare delicious tender ribs!

Ingredients for Barbecue Ribs:

3lb - ¼ kg pork ribs 8½ fl.oz - 250 ml barbecue sauce 2 tablespoons of honey or brown sugar 1 glass of brown beer or red wine 2 garlic cloves crushed 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce a few sprigs of thyme cayenne pepper salt

How to make slow Barbecue Ribs:

Mix the barbecue sauce, honey, beer (or red wine), Worcestershire sauce and crushed garlic. Season with cayenne pepper and salt.Rub the ribs well with the marinade and let it rest for a while. Preferably you do this a day in advance and the ribs can rest for a few hours.Place the ribs in the slow cooker with a few sprigs of thyme. Cook on the soft setting for about 6 hours or on the hard setting for 4 hours. If you are using an oven preheat it to 338 ° F - 170 ° C, place the ribs in a refractory dish and put them in the oven, after ½ hour lower the temperature to 300 ° F - 150 ° C and let them cook for another hour. The ribs are ready when the meat is tender and the bones come out on their own.For the barbecue:If you've pre-cooked the ribs in the oven, then they just need to be reheated and / or smoked on the grill for flavor. For the oven, slow cooker:Arrange the ribs for another ten minutes under a hot grill for a perfectly caramelized crust.
