Cheesecake Recipe

Cheesecake

"Cheesecake as grandma makes them? It is light and creamy, with a crispy base. Very nice and extra tasty if you finish the cake with fresh fruit."

Ingredients for Cheese cake :

- 1 ready made unbaked pie crust
 
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
 
- 1 cup - 240g sour cream
 
- 4 packages (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
 
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
 
- 3 eggs
 
- 1 1/3 cups - 300g sugar

How to make Cheese cake:

Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C)
 
In large mixing bowl beat cream cheese on medium speed of electric mixer until fluffy. Add 1 1/3 cups sugar, cornstarch and vanilla.
 
Beat until combined.
 
Add eggs, one at a time, beating until just combined after each addition. Stir in sour cream.
 
Roll out unbaked pie crust and put into buttered form.
 
Pour into crust. Bake at 320°F -160°C about 1¼ hours or until center is almost set.
 
Cool on wire rack for 15 minutes. Loosen sides of pan. Continue cooling on wire rack for 45 minutes more.
 
Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
 
Garnish as desired.
 
Store in refrigerator.
